It is kind of mind blowing how much content can get crammed into the summer semester. We learned so much this semester about online and blended learning. One of the first things that we did was take the iNACOL assessment. Initially, I was kind of disappointed in myself because I really ranked myself pretty low in the beginning. Luckily, by the end of the semester I felt way more confident in my abilities to create quality online and blended learning content. Also, the module content this semester was very informative. This semester had particular strong video content for us to consume. I have to give props to Dr. Vega because all of the videos were interesting and very well done. Plus, I really valued the various perspectives in the module videos. We got to see and hear from a variety of folks, which I think was invaluable in giving us some real world context that the iNACOL standards work in real world practice. Overall, I think the semester was a success. I feel stronger in my abilities as a facilitator of online instruction and overall feel like my skills as an instructional technology coach are growing.
