Additionally, I gained a lot of insight into assessing the effectiveness of technology and professional development in my school through the GAPSS analyses, which involved taking a closer look at both the school improvement plan and also completing the Georgia Department of Education GAPSS template. Both of these exercises are prime examples of skills required of effective technology leaders.
There were many great exercises in this class that contributed to my growth as an Instructional Technology Coach and leader. I highly valued the experience of the coaching sessions and journals, the workshop creation and implementation, and also the mystery blogger posts. All of these exercises were critical to my deeper understanding of the change processes and how to effectively leverage professional development towards positive learning outcomes for teachers and students.
